The Pacific Shadow comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests, offering spacious quarters and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Your Alaskan Fishing Retreat Begins
On your first morning aboard the Pacific Shadow, our crew will welcome you with a warm breakfast—fresh juice, seasonal fruit, hot coffee, muffins, and toast—while introducing you to the yacht’s features and amenities.
This 82-foot vessel will be your private floating lodge for four to six unforgettable days, depending on your chosen itinerary. We limit each trip exclusively to your party of up to ten guests, ensuring a personalized and intimate experience.
Mid-July through August offers peak fishing opportunities, with abundant halibut, rockfish, lingcod, and silver salmon. It’s the ideal season for long-range excursions into Alaska’s most productive waters.

Remote Waters, Exceptional Fishing
We take you far beyond the reach of the day‑trip fleet—into remote, lightly fished waters where the action is unmatched. With a limited number of guests on board, we can focus on targeting larger fish, often in shallow water where the fight is unforgettable. Our spacious deck and seasoned crew create the perfect environment for what many guests call the best fishing of their lives.
Within regulations, you may keep up to four halibut of your choice, though we encourage releasing the big breeders to help preserve the fishery. You’ll also have opportunities to catch several species of rockfish and, beginning July 1, lingcod. We supply premium halibut gear, but if you have a favorite light‑tackle rod, bring it along—you’ll want it for the fast‑paced action these waters are known for.
Starting in early August, silver salmon enter the mix, adding another thrilling species to pursue on our long‑range trips. There’s truly nothing like fishing for salmon and halibut in these wild, untouched places.
Throughout your adventure, the crew prepares first‑class meals, baits your hooks, cleans your catch, and keeps the atmosphere light with plenty of laughs—often at your buddy’s expense. Evenings are spent anchored in calm, protected coves where you can enjoy a hot shower and a restful night’s sleep.
On the final day, we return to Homer around 5 p.m., giving you time to savor the last moments of your Alaskan expedition.
